Mountains
I am here to talk about the three
most important mountains. There are many types of mountains, yes, but the
three of the important mountains are the Dome mountain, Volcanic mountain, and
the Pleatu mountains.
First, the most important mountain is the
Dome mountain. Dome mountains form when large globs of magma float up from
beneath the crust and push up surface rocks. It then creates a large done of
harder rocks under the surface, which erosion sometimes reveals. This mountain got
its name, because it was a mountain range resulting from dissection of a
structural dome also called a domal mountain. Dome mountains can be located in
British Columbia, Canada. Did you know,
dome mountains don’t usually get as high as folded mountains, because the force
of the magma underneath doesn’t push hard enough?
Next, the second mountain is the volcanic mountain. Volcanic
mountains form as lava oozes out from cracks in the earth. Then, the lava
builds up around the area where the eruption occurs. Volcanic mountains are an
opening in the earth’s crust from which hot gasses, lava, and as flow or are
thrown, but during an eruption. It’s usually a cone shaped mountain formed by
the materials that flowed or were thrown out from such an opening. Volcanic
mountains are mostly located in Chile and Argentina. Have you studied these
volcanoes? If you have, you would know that they are also located where
tectonic plates meet.
Lastly, the third most important mountains are the Pleatu Mountains.
Pleatu Mountains are formed by different types of processes, including
upwelling of volcanic magma extrusion of lava, and erosion by water and
glaciers. Magma rises from the mantle, causing the ground to swell upward so
that flat areas of rock are uplifted and then this uplifted rock forms a
Pleatu. Pleatu mountains are mostly located in China, India, and Asia. Did you
know that the largest Pleatu, located in central Asia? It stretches through the
countries of China and India. This mountain stretches to be four times the size
of the U.S., state of Texas.
So yes, there are many types of mountains, but the three most important
mountains are Dome mountains, Volcanic Mountains, And Pleatu Mountains.
